Since 1981, National Crime Victims’ Rights Week is a time to renew our commitment to serving all victims of crime, to acknowledge the achievements in victim services and allied professions, to honor those who have gone above and beyond in their service to others, and to remember crime victims and survivors.

The Peyton Tuthill Foundation & Big Bend Victim Assistance Coalition (BBVAC) will honor and remember victims with an Empty Seat at the Table on Sunday, April 18, 2021 from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm. Local and state agencies are partners and will provide resource information for victims and their families to receive assistance with victim’s compensation, grief counseling, mental health services, and court assistance.

We Are So Sorry

At the Peyton Tuthill Foundation, we are so sorry that your life has been turned upside down like ours and truly hope you and your loved ones are safe and healthy. We are disappointed to announce that we must cancel our annual fundraiser this year. Sadly, the violence does not disappear and the need to help remains, but there is still a way you can help our young survivors.

We are concerned with how the coronavirus is affecting our city. Our Merchant partners have been devastated; and understandably, people do not want to get out this year. The So Sorry campaign will replace our fabulous wine tasting event and silent auction. Knowing the needs of our scholarship recipients but realizing you may also be facing hardships, we are only asking that you give what you can to continue our support to these deserving young victims.

Your donations from $25-$1,000 and our great sponsors, made it possible to award $105,000 in scholarships and provided a support network. Our work never ends as we continue helping another 12 young survivors. Your compassion has given kids hope, degrees and a role model to Give Back! You are a part of their story of hope.
